Inspect BT packages:

• Install bluez-utils-compat
• Run sudo hcidump avdt and connect device
• See if SBC or aptX is used

See if there's a difference when installing the pulseaudio-modules-bt-git package. After installing you need to restart pulseaudio with e.g. systemctl --user stop pulseaudio.service.
